In parallel to the interview with Sebastian de Line, we present a series of ten paintings by the artist called “Migrations” (2021). In the coming months, De Line works on a series of newly commissioned paintings using medicinal plants and herbs as pigments. The series is inspired by the use of medicinal yam and mud in the Guangdong mud silk dyeing process, taking these ideas and applying them to painting.
